Diabetes is a disease that can be caused when your blood glucose or blood sugar level is extremely high. The reason behind increased blood sugar levels is that it is the main source of energy that it absorbs from the food you eat.  Insulin, a hormone made by the pancreas, helps glucose from food get into your cells to be used for energy. Sometimes your body doesn’t make enough or any insulin or doesn’t use insulin well. Glucose then stays in your blood and doesn’t reach your cells. Over time, having too much glucose in your blood can cause health problems. Although diabetes has no cure, you can take steps to manage your Diabetes and stay healthy naturally at home. Sometimes people call diabetes “a touch of sugar” or “borderline diabetes.” These terms suggest that someone doesn’t really have diabetes or has a less serious case, but every case of diabetes is serious.

However, you can treat your diabetes at home to control and reduce it with basic natural ingredients. The following are some ways to prevent your diabetes -

  • Reduce obese weight

Losing weight reduces the risk of diabetes. People in one large study reduced their risk of developing diabetes by almost 60% after losing approximately 7% of their body weight with changes in exercise and diet. The American Diabetes Association recommends that people with prediabetes lose at least 7% to 10% of their body weight to prevent disease progression. More weight loss will translate into even greater benefits. Set a weight loss goal based on your current body weight. Talk to your doctor about reasonable short-term goals and expectations, such as losing 2-4 kg in a week

  • Exercise regularly

Aim for 30 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous aerobic exercise such as brisk walking, swimming, biking or running on most days for a total of at least 150 minutes a week. You can also try doing resistance exercises at least 2 to 3 times a week increasing your strength, balance and ability to maintain an active life. Resistance training includes weightlifting, yoga and callisthenics. And most importantly try and avoid unnecessary inactivity. You should be engaged in practising more physical workouts.

  • Wholesome diet

You should eat food that provides vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates in your diet. Carbohydrates include sugars and starch the energy sources for your body and fibre. Dietary fibre, also known as roughage or bulk, is the part of plant foods your body can't digest or absorb. Nothing can benefit you more than good healthy food that provides your body with all the essential nutrients that are required for growth. So, you should be regular towards your food and carefully ingest it.

Conclusion

As you comprehend, this is how you can prevent your diabetes with some basic measures and home remedies. When you instil these habits in your regular routine then it can help in prevention of diabetes
